Mobile Women's Health Clinic
The Rural, Remote and Aboriginal Women’s Mobile Sexual Health Clinic will provide women with access to high quality, safe and accessible general, sexual, reproductive, mental health care and domestic violence support services in their own communities. The Mobile Van, and Trailer, will be equipped with a confidential consultation room that meets clinical standards for provision of health care to women to access. The Van will include video conferencing facilities to allow women to consult with a GP, specialist, allied health professional and mental health practitioners as required. The service will coordinate with existing health services where they exist to complement and augment access to health acre for vulnerable women. The service will be operated by a registered Nurse Practitioner with full-time access via Telehealth to a GP where required. The Van would be a delivery point for the Foundation’s National Rural and Remote Suicide Prevention Program; Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Screening Program; and digitally enabled dental diagnostic program.
